Some say our prices are "so great", even "cheap", but our affordability doesn't impact the quality. We provide superior quality wedding invitations that are printed on heavy card stock paper that has a beautiful, smooth, matte finish that lends itself to a finished product with a wonderful, non-glossy appearance. We also use commercial presses, not a cheap home printer, that gives the wedding invitation a sharp look with vibrant color.

Before you jump into browsing our wedding invitation selection, here are some guidelines and common questions to consider when selecting your wedding invitations

How many wedding invitations should I order?

It is best to order about 15-20% more wedding invitations than you think. If you have an “A” and “B” guest list strategy (more about that here) then you will have more guests to invite than you may originally have thought.

When should I send out my wedding invitations?

Wedding invitations should be sent out 8 weeks in advance (if no save the date cards were sent before hand) and anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks if save the dates were sent before.

What if I have already missed the recommended time line to send my wedding invitations?

Don’t panic. Just get your invitations out as soon as possible. Be sure to understand how long it will take your wedding invitation vendor the produce your invitations. At UrbanityStudios’ we can produce your wedding invitations in 2 business days (M-F) from the day you order if you order before 2 PM. You then have to take into account shipping times and how long it will take your invitations to reach you. You may need to upgrade your shipping if you need your wedding invitations faster.

What is the recommended wording for wedding invitations?

This totally depends upon you, your fiancé and how the wedding is being funded. The wedding invitation wording is important because it lets guests know if your event is formal or casual. Check out the Knot's wedding invitation wording tool for examples and ideas.

Many wedding invitation vendors offer inner envelopes? Do I need that and what are they for?

The inner envelope for wedding invitations serves one main purpose which is to address who the invitation is for. So, for example, on the outer envelope you would write “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” and then on the inner envelope you would write “John and Debbie”. Now, if you were also going to include their children, then you would write “John, Debbie, Samantha and Scott Smith” letting them know that the entire family is invited.

At UrbanityStudios’ we don’t offer an inner envelope option as we have found many brides aren’t sure what to do with it, the envelope adds extra weight for postage and we think it is an unnecessary item that gets thrown in the trash.

Do I need to include an RSVP card with my wedding invitations?

We strongly recommend you include one as it helps you with number of guests attending. See our RSVP wedding cards section to learn about postage and recommendations.

What if I love an UrbanityStudios' wedding invitation design, but not the colors?

No problem. We recommend you purchase a color palette card so that you can see how our color choices look when printed, but keep in mind with any wedding invitation design, you can change the colors FREE. Get details.

Do I have to choose my wedding invitations from the wedding invitation category?

Absolutely not. We have had brides choose everything from our lemon party invitation to our Mad Hatter Tea Party invitation to make truly unique, one of a kind wedding invitations.

How long will it take until I receive my wedding invitations?

Depending upon what time of day you order, we need 2-3 business days to create and print your invitations. We are closed on the weekends, so the business days are M-F. Then, depending upon the shipping carrier you choose and the speed of shipping service you pay for, depends on when they end up on your doorstep. Please contact us and give us your zip code and we would be happy to walk you through all the shipping options.

I am having a very small wedding and I don’t need very many wedding invitations. What is the minimum I need to order?

With UrbanityStudios, 12 is the minimum number you need to order but after that, you can order as many as you need.

I love a particular wedding invitation design you offer, but I want them to fit into a pocket style cover. Is this something you offer?

We don’t offer the covers, but we can help you select the correct covers that will fit our wedding invitations perfectly.
